Amaranth yatra from goadventure


Plan:

Day 1: Arrival - Srinagar: After arrival at  we will proceed to Srinagar.

 Day 2: Srinagar – Sonmarg: After breakfast we will travel to Sonmarg.

Day 3: Amarnath Darshan: On early morning we will proceed for Darshan of Amarnath by foot or Horse Back (Own Expenses).

Day 4: Baltal – Srinagar: After breakfast we leave for Srinagar. On reaching the city we will proceed for Sightseeing which includes visit to following places:

Day 5: Gulmarg (Day Trip): After breakfast we will proceed Gulmarg. First a small description of Gulmarg.

Day 6: Departure: After breakfast we will proceed to Srinagar  Airport/ for departure. 


 Day 1: Arrival - Srinagar: After arrival at  we will proceed to Srinagar.

 (The Summer Capital of Jammu and Kashmir) is world renowned for its handloom that produces woolen garments and Pashmina shawls. Srinagar also acquaints you with the local handicrafts, glittering copperware and hand carved wooden furniture made out of walnut tree. This Beautiful City of Mughal Gardens, Lakes (Dal Lake and Nigeen Lake) and many more beautiful Historical artifacts of Mughal Era which will Spell Bound you and will make you fall in love of this city.and shikara ride in dal lake and night stay in houseboat

We will reach Srinagar by evening. Dinner and Overnight stay in houseboat 

Day 2: Srinagar – Sonmarg: After breakfast we will travel to Sonmarg.

Sonmarg: Sonamarg or Sonmarg, located at a hefty altitude of 2,740 m above sea level, literally means 'Meadow of Gold'. The picturesque natural beauty of the region brought this name to Sonmarg. Sonmarg, a town surrounded by breath taking glaciers and serene lakes, is a snow covered beautiful flower-laden meadow in the majestic Himalayan mountain region. Sonmarg in the Kashmir valley is the gateway to Ladakh and situated just before the Zojii La pass. Located at 87 km from Srinagar, the place is renowned for trekking and hiking trails.

On reaching Sonmarg we will proceed for Sightseeing which includes visit to Thajiwas Glacier.

Thajiwas Glacier: Thajiwas Glaciar is situated at a distance of 3 Kilometers from Sonmarg. Here you can choose to go on foot or Horseback (This is more advisable).  This place will give you a real experience of a glacier which is situated 3000 meters above sea level. On the way you can enjoy shining frozen lake with greenery scattered all over the surrounding mountains. This place is famous with trekking enthusiast and all those who want to enjoy sledging on the snow. Thajiwas Glacier is the most visited place in Sonmarg.

By evening will reach Baltal, Overnight stay at Tent in Baltal. 

Day 3: Amarnath Darshan: On early morning we will proceed for Darshan of Amarnath by foot or Horse Back (Own Expenses).

Amarnath Yatra: Amarnath Yatra is Yatra to the Holy Amarnath Cave which is situated at altitude of 3,888 meters in Jammu and Kashmir. The Yatra which is held in month of July – August every year lasts for 45 Days. Inside the Amarnath Cave which is almost 130 ft. high a Natural Shiv Linga is formed by Freezing Water Drops that fall from the roof of the cave on the floor. This cave is covered in Ice for rest of the year and is opened only at the time of Yatra. This cave can be accessed from two routes in Kashmir which is via Pahalgam Town and Sonmarg Town.

Return back to Baltal Tent by evening. Overnight halt at Baltal Tent.

Day 4: Baltal – Srinagar: After breakfast we leave for Srinagar. On reaching the city we will proceed for Sightseeing which includes visit to following places:

Shalimar Garden: Shalimar Bagh (Garden) or the “Abode of Love” was built by Emperor Jehangir for his wife Nur Jahan in 1616 is the largest Mughal Garden in Kashmir. This garden situated in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir is spread over 31 Acres and has four terraces rising one above other.

Nishat Bagh: Nishat Bagh or “Garden of Bliss” or “Garden of Joy” situated in Srinagar is the second largest Mughal Garden in Kashmir. This garden was laid down by Asif Khan, brother of Empress Noor Jahan in 1633 AD on the bank of Dal Lake. This garden has 12 terraces each representing different Zodiac Signs and beautiful water channel flowing right in middle of the garden.

Then we will check in a Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.

 

Day 5: Gulmarg (Day Trip)After breakfast we will proceed Gulmarg. First a small description of Gulmarg.

Gulmarg is a hill resort located at distance of 52 Kms from Srinagar. This Ski Resort was established in the year 1927 by the Britishers. Gulmarg is not merely a mountain resort of exceptional beauty but also the country's premier ski resort. Gulmarg is Famous for its Gondola (Asia’s Highest and Longest Cable Car) which can ferry about 600 people per hour and is also the highest lift-served ski resort in the world providing a downhill ski run of 5.2 km from a height of 14,000 ft in the Apharwat range. So here we will proceed for * Gondola Ride (Cable Car Ride (Charges for the same will be Extra)) which takes you to 12000 Ft. on Kongdoori Mountain. After enjoying in Gulmarg by late afternoon we will return back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight halt at Srinagar Hotel.

Day 6: DepartureAfter breakfast we will proceed to Srinagar  Airport/ for departure.
