All over the year you can visit Kerala, every season has something special to offer in Kerala. 1. Winter & Early Summer: October to March

This is the peak tourist season because the weather is pleasant, cool, and ideal for sightseeing.

Places to Visit:

Munnar
A pleasant and cool hill station known for its tea plantations, hills, and misty mornings. 
Eravikulam National Park – Home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr.
Tea Museum – In the Tea Museum, we can learn about different types of tea leaves and the instructor with teach us how to make perfect tea.
Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Photo Point – These are some of the best places to take photo in munnar along with nature walk.

Thekkady
A great place for wildlife lovers and cultural explorers.
Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary – In Boat safaris, with can have a chance to spot elephants and other animals, and remember to take binoculars so that you can spot animals.
Spice Plantations – Here you can see how Kerala's famous spices are grown, and you can buy some spices here. Trust me, they naturally grow spices.
Traditional shows – Kathakali dance and Kalaripayattu martial arts performances don't miss this show when you are in Thekkady because these shows are 400+ years old and these shows teach us how India’s rich mythological and artistic roots.

Alleppey (Alappuzha)
Alleppey is famous for its peaceful backwaters and unique houseboat experiences. Slowly travelling through the backwaters, surrounded by coconut trees and small village scenes, is one of the most relaxing experiences in Kerala and don't miss this.

2. Monsoon Season: June to September

Kerala during monsoon is lush green and magical, but heavy rains can disrupt travel plans. Covered with fog and mist, and you have to see Munnar in the rainy season, it is so pleasant and has so much greenery. This is a great time for travellers who enjoy peace, quiet, and fresh air.

Athirapally Waterfalls
At their most powerful and beautiful during the rains. Often referred to as the "Niagara of India," the sight is breathtaking.
Munnar
Covered in fog and mist, this hill station looks like a scene from a fairytale. Expect cool weather, lush greenery, and plenty of tea-scented air.

 

 

3. Summer Season: April to May

This is the perfect time to escape into nature's coolest places, and Munnar and Thekkady are the perfect places to visit in summer. Summers can be hot and humid, especially in the lowlands, but hill stations remain cool. You don't even need AC in Munnar.

Even during peak summer, the climate remains cool. Great for scenic drives, photo spots, and tea garden walks.
Thekkady
Offers a forest feel, wildlife encounters, and relaxing weather, making it a perfect summer getaway.
