Coorg & Wayanad Trip

Coorg is a popular coffee producing hill station. Undulating hills covered in lush green forests, the streams cutting right through them and a landscape dotted with coffee plantations, tea gardens and orange groves, this hill station has breathtakingly stunning scenic beauty.

Wayanad, which is also known as the ‘green paradise’ lies in between the mountains of the Western Ghats. Wayanad district is located on the southern tip of the Deccan plateau and in the north-eastern part of Kerala and the most popular tourist location in Kerala. It is often called the spice garden of south, the land of paddy fields, and home of monsoon. Wayanad is spread over an area of 2132 sq km which is mainly known for its cool highland climate, misty peaks and its virgin forests.

Day 0: (Friday)

  • Board Volvo semi-sleeper bus from Hyderabad


Day 1: (Saturday)

  • Reach Mysore by 8:30 AM
  • Have Breakfast and freshen up at Restaurant and continue our journey towards Coorg. (Fresh up: 100/- & Breakfast: 120/-)
  • Sightseeing: Abbey Falls & Raja's seat
  • Sunset: Mandalpatti, We will go here by local jeep and completely off-roading and adventurous roads.
  • Post sunset, we will go to our campsite. Prepare our own BBQ(at extra cost) & spend time at the campfire

Day 2: (Sunday)

  • We will start our day very early today. And, we will head to Nagarhole wild sanctuary for Safari (Safari is optional and to be paid extra - approx 400 per peron).
  • Nagarahole is derived its name from Naga, which means snake and Hole refers to as streams. Nagarahole Park is declared as the thirty-seventh Tiger Reserve in India. It is also considered a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Three of the park namely Bandipur, Mudumalai & Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary are adjacent to the Nagarahole.
  • Wildlife: Bengal Tiger, Indian Leopard, Sloth Bear, Striped Hyena are the predators that can be spotted in the park. Herbivores like Elephants, Chital, Sambar Deer, and Barking Deer is also spotted around the national park.
  • Irruppu waterfalls: We will reach the waterfall after walk of few minutes.
  • Kuruva Dweep Island: Kuruva Island is a cluster of small islands formed by the delta in the River Kabini and is spread over 950 acres of uninhabited area. These are true natural islands with no other activities. Kuruva Island is densely populated with rich flora and fauna.
  • For Dinner: Campfire, and Kerala food will be provided. BBQ can be arranged at extra cost

Day 3: (Monday)

  • We will get a good breakfast at Wayanad homestay at 7:30 am.
  • We will start our day pretty early again and goto sightseeing and fun activities.
  • Sightseeing:
    Bhanasura sagar dam
    Pookode lake
    You can try zip lining also at extra charges if you are interested.
  • Around 3 PM, we will head to Mysore to board our Volvo semi-sleeper bus back to Hyderabad


Day 4: (Tuesday)

  • We will reach Hyderabad by 8 AM.

  • 3 pairs of quick-dry clothing. Please wear one pair on Friday night itself before coming to the railway station. You'll not get an opportunity to change during our travel.
  • 3 pairs of socks
  • One pullover/warmer
  • Min 2 litres of water (Please bring reusable water bottles so that together we can discourage the use of plastic on the trails)
  • Headtorch / Hand-held torch / Please do not prefer mobile flashlights
  • Sanitation kit (Wet wipes, Odomos, Toothpaste, Sanitizer, ORS, Tang)
  • Walking/Sports/Trekking shoe. Please make sure that you are using a soft rubber-sole footwear.
  • Govt. Issued Id proof
  • Medicines (If you have any health issues).
