Har Ki Doon Valley is a cradle-shaped hanging valley in the Garhwal Himalayas also known as the "Valley Of Gods" 
as per local stories, it is believed that Pandavas used this trail to reach heaven.

Har Ki Doon is a beautiful trek that takes you through the Govind National Park with the most charismatic alpine meadows
and pine forests which is a treat to the eyes.

It is a moderate trek with fascinating views of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black peak. 
Har Ki Doon is the largest water source for River Yamuna.

You will be trekking through some of the ancient villages and gives you an insight into the lives of the locals who are residing here in the valley. 
Osla temple enroute is a marvelous point. This temple is carved on wood 2000 years ago by inhabitants of Saur worshipping Duryodhan.
 


BRIEF ITINERARY

Day 1: - Dehradun  to sankari 
Day 2 : - sankari to puani gharaat
Day 3: - Puani gharaat to seematra thach 
Day 4: - seematra thach to harkidun manida tal visit & return to seematra thach
Day 5: - seematra thach to Sankari 
Day 6 : - sankari to dehradun
 

Day 1: Dehradun → Sankri (Drive | ~200 km | 8–10 hrs)

Your journey begins early morning from Dehradun as we drive through the scenic routes of Mussoorie, Purola, and Mori along the Tons River valley. The road gradually ascends into the Garhwal Himalayas, offering beautiful views of pine forests, rivers, and remote mountain villages.

By evening, arrive at Sankri, a charming Himalayan village that serves as the base camp for several popular treks. After check-in, enjoy a warm dinner and a briefing session about the trek.

Day 2: Sankri → Puani Garaat (Trek | ~8 km | 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to the trek starting point near Taluka (if applicable), followed by a gradual trek towards Puani Garaat. The trail runs alongside the Supin River and passes through dense forests of pine, walnut, and chestnut trees.

You will cross small wooden bridges, hear the constant flow of mountain streams, and witness traditional Himalayan architecture in nearby villages. The campsite at Puani Garaat is set in a peaceful clearing surrounded by forested slopes.

Day 3: Puani Garaat → Seema Thatch (Trek | ~7 km | 4–5 hrs)

Today’s trek is relatively moderate and extremely scenic. The trail opens into wide alpine meadows with stunning views of snow-clad peaks. As you gain altitude, the valley widens, revealing lush grasslands and river crossings.

By afternoon, reach Seema Thatch, a beautiful campsite known for its expansive meadows and panoramic mountain views. The rest of the day is free to relax, explore the surroundings, or photograph the dramatic landscape.

Day 4: Seema Thatch → Har Ki Dun Valley & Maninda Tal → Seema Thatch (Trek | ~10 km | 6–7 hrs)

This is the most rewarding day of the trek. After an early start, trek towards the stunning Har Ki Dun Valley, often referred to as the “Valley of Gods.” The trail offers close-up views of Swargarohini peaks and other majestic summits.

Visit Maninda Tal, a high-altitude alpine lake with immense mythological significance, believed to be associated with the Pandavas. After spending time at the valley and lake, retrace your steps back to Seema Thatch by evening.

Day 5: Seema Thatch → Sankri (Trek + Drive | ~14 km trek | 6–7 hrs)

Begin your descent as you trek back through familiar trails, retracing your journey via Puani Garaat. The downhill walk is easier and allows you to soak in the beauty of the valley one last time.

Upon reaching the road head, drive back to Sankri. Check in to the guesthouse, enjoy a hot meal, and celebrate the successful completion of the trek.

Day 6: Sankri → Dehradun (Drive | ~200 km | 8–10 hrs)

After breakfast, depart early for Dehradun. Enjoy the scenic drive back through mountain roads and river valleys. Arrival in Dehradun by evening marks the end of an unforgettable Himalayan trekking experience.

By Air:
Nearest airport: Dehradun. 
Dehradun airport is connected to most of the metro cities in India. GoAdventure vehicle will pick you up from the airport itself. If you come at different timings, there are few hotels availbale nearby

By Rail:
The nearest railway stations are Dehradun or Haridwar. GoAdvneture regular pick up is from Dehradun railway station. You can also take a connecting train from Haridwar to Dehradun

By road:
Delhi to Dehradun/Rishikesh: there are many bus services available. (AC, Non AC, Sleeper & Semi sleeper)

Cost-effective: You can take a flight to Delhi. Delhi to Dehradun a connecting train.
