ABOUT:
Gokarna, a Karnataka temple town, has beautiful beaches, palm-lined streets, and famous Hindu shrines. The cow's ear-shaped confluence of two rivers in Gokarna, Karnataka, attracts Hindu devotees, Sanskrit scholars, and beachgoers. Om Beach, one of Gokarna's five famous beaches, resembles the Hindu spiritual symbol 'Om' Gokarna, Kudle, Half Moon, and Paradise are the other beaches between massive cliffs that reach into the sea like delicate fingers. The journey to Gokarna is beautiful, with rocky mountains, the Western Ghats, and the Arabian Sea. This coastal town requires cliff-scrambling for adventurous tourists.
Vibhuthi Falls: Vibhooti Falls is one of the many waterfalls in the Western Ghats. Surrounded by large rocks and limestone deposits, the waterfall is a picturesque spot. The water flows in steps that make it the ideal refuge spot for hot summers. Set about 50 kilometers from Sirsi in North Kanara, the waterfall gets its name from the limestone rock found in the area. Vibhooti also translates to mean ash. According to local legends, the waterfall was formed when ashes from the burning of Basmasur had washed away. It is also known as the Mabgi Falls because of its proximity to a village by the same name.In this coastal village, adventurous travellers must cliff-scramble.
The definition of "Vibhuthi" is "limestone." Since the water in this waterfall comes past limestone rocks located close to Yana, locals refer to it as "Vibhuthi Falls." Vibhooti falls is located in Uttara kannada district of Karnataka.
Murudeshwar: The temple situated atop Kanduka hill in the charming town of Murudeshwar in the Bhatkal Taluk of north Kannada. The Arabian Sea surrounds the temple on three sides, providing stunning vistas. The temple honours Shiva. Murudeshwar is one of Shiva's manifestations, worshipped worldwide. The enormous Shiva statue in Murudeshwar is its most recognised feature. The second-highest statue of Sri Anantadrishti, another name for Lord Shiva, may be viewed from afar. Over two years, it was built at 123 feet. The statue has been strategically placed to gleam in the morning sun.
Dandeli: Adventure and water sports enthusiasts love Dandeli (North Karnataka) for its lush nature and fast-flowing river and rapids. Elephants, bison, panthers, leopards, and tigers live in Dandeli's dense forests, beckoning for an adventure encounter in the outdoors. Explore the difficult Kavala Caves and natural water springs for more adventure experiences. Overall, Dandeli has several activities for everyone. The unique wildlife in its tropical forests enhances the experiences and visual charm of this Kali River location.
Hampi is a historic Karnataka village. It has many Vijayanagara Empire temple ruins. Near the revitalised Hampi Bazaar lies the 7th-century Hindu Virupaksha Temple on the south side of the Tungabhadra. A carved stone chariot fronts the massive Vittala Temple. Indian sloth bears live at Daroji Bear Sanctuary southeast of Hampi.Pampakshetra was an early mediaeval pilgrimage destination. The Kishkindha chapters of the Ramayana, where Rama and Lakshmana meet Hanuman, Sugriva, and the monkey army to find Sita, made it famous. There are many similarities between Hampi and the epic. The regional tradition claims it is the Ramayana's pilgrimage site.[18] In the 1800s, engineer colonel Colin Mackenzie discovered it.Hanuman's temple is on top of the hill. He was born to Anjana in Hindu mythology. Thus, Hanuman is called Anjaneya and born on Anjanadri.
