Day 0: Chennai – Mysore (Overnight Journey)

Board your overnight train from Chennai to Mysore.

Notes:

  • Carry valid ID proof.
  • Pack light woolens and comfortable clothing.
  • Travel light for easier transfers.

Day 1: Mysore – Bandipur – Wayanad Sightseeing

Arrive at Mysore Railway Station and proceed towards Wayanad.
On the way, pass through Bandipur National Park, known for its scenic forest stretch and wildlife sightings (elephants, deer, peacocks – subject to luck).
Continue to Wayanad and visit:
Edakkal Caves – Moderate trek to ancient caves with prehistoric carvings and panoramic views.
Banasura Sagar Dam – India’s largest earthen dam offering reservoir views and speed boating (optional).
Check-in and overnight stay in Wayanad.

Notes:

  • Do not stop or get down inside Bandipur forest area.
  • Edakkal involves steep climbing; wear proper sports shoes.
  • Carry water bottles during trekking.
  • Entry tickets applicable at most attractions.
  • Avoid littering; Wayanad is eco-sensitive.

Day 2: 900 Kandi Adventure – Return to Mysore

After breakfast, head to 900 Kandi, a popular adventure destination surrounded by forest and plantations.
Activities include:
Off-road jeep ride (mandatory to reach main area)
Glass bridge experience
Longest zipline in Wayanad
Sky cycling, rope activities, and adventure games

If time permits, visit Kuruvadweep, a protected river island known for bamboo rafting and nature walks (subject to water levels and entry permissions).
Later proceed back to Mysore to board your overnight train to Chennai.
