The Bhimashankar Trek is one of the most scenic and spiritually rich treks in Maharashtra. Located in the Sahyadri hills, this trail takes you through lush forests, flowing streams, and mist-covered valleys, all leading to the Bhimashankar Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
There are two popular routes—the easier Ganesh Ghat route and the more challenging Shidi Ghat route, which includes rock patches, ladders, and breathtaking views. The trail is especially beautiful during the monsoon when the entire forest comes alive with greenery, waterfalls, and clouds drifting through the hills.
Whether you're here for the spiritual experience or the adventure, Bhimashankar offers a perfect blend of nature, wildlife, and serenity.
Jivdhan Fort is a thrilling trek for those who love offbeat adventures and panoramic views. Located near Junnar in Maharashtra, this fort stands tall among the Sahyadri ranges and offers a mix of history, challenge, and raw natural beauty.
The trek to Jivdhan is moderately difficult, with steep climbs, rocky patches, and a narrow rock-cut staircase called the Kalyan Darwaza, which is both thrilling and scenic. Along the way, you’ll pass through dense forests and catch breathtaking views of Naneghat, Harishchandragad, and the Konkan plains.
Known for its strategic importance in the Maratha era, the fort carries a sense of ancient pride and isolation, making it perfect for seasoned trekkers or history lovers seeking a quiet yet powerful experience.
Hidden in the Sahyadri hills, the Reverse Waterfall at Naneghat is a magical monsoon phenomenon that feels straight out of a fairy tale. When strong valley winds meet the falling water, the stream flows upward instead of down—a rare and mesmerizing sight.
Reaching the spot involves a scenic trek through misty forests, ancient rock paths, and views of the rugged mountain landscape. It’s not a difficult hike, making it ideal for beginners or nature lovers wanting to experience something truly unique.
Whether you're watching clouds float below your feet or capturing the surreal moment when water defies gravity, the Naneghat reverse waterfall is a monsoon marvel you won't forget.
