Located near the village of Kumbhe in the Ratnagiri district, this waterfall flows gracefully through forested terrain, creating a peaceful, picture-perfect setting. It’s an easy-to-moderate trek through Konkan’s vibrant green cover, making it a great choice for those who want to enjoy nature without venturing too deep into the wild.

Arguably one of the most beautiful hidden waterfalls in Maharashtra, Nanemachi is famous for its clear blue pool, natural amphitheater of rock walls, and immersive forest trail. Often called the “Turquoise Gem of the Konkan,” it’s a must-visit for those who crave adventure, tranquility, and stunning visuals all in one spot.

🌲 Satsada Waterfall

A peaceful retreat near Mahad, Satsada Falls is a multi-tiered waterfall hidden among thick foliage. It's ideal for travelers looking to relax, meditate, or click beautiful long-exposure shots without the crowd. The short approach makes it perfect for a quick nature escape.

🪨 Shevate Waterfall

Set in a remote village near Poladpur, Shevate Waterfall offers an untouched plunge pool, unusual rock formations, and an adventurous trail. With minimal footfall and immersive forest surroundings, it’s the perfect spot for travelers seeking pure, unexplored beauty and solitude.


Hyderabad to Pune by train (Day 0)

Board the train at Hyderabad at night and reach Pune the next morning.
While you pack your bags, also pack some energy and excitement for a good trek. Also carry snacks, energy bars, and water bottles along. 
Your trek-lead will meet you at the station/ at your designated seats.

Lingya Ghat Waterfalls (Day 1)

Start your day early from Pune and head on a scenic drive towards the lesser-known Lingya Ghat Waterfall.
Upon reaching the base village, gear up for the Lingya Ghat trek — a hidden trail known for its untouched beauty, mossy cliffs, and forest surroundings. The trek is about 4 to 5 km (one way).
The trail involves forest paths, some slippery rocky patches, and a few steep climbs, making it ideal for nature enthusiasts and moderately experienced trekkers.
On reaching the falls, take in the majestic view of Lingya Ghat Waterfalls, where water cascades powerfully down a rock face into a serene natural pool. Spend time enjoying the cool mist, clicking pictures, and relaxing amid nature. Carry packed lunch or light snacks, as there are no eateries near the trail.
Begin your descent by mid-afternoon and return to the base village before sunset.

Explore Kumbhe Falls & Nanemachi Waterfall (Day 2)

After an early breakfast, set out on a scenic road journey through the lush Western Ghats towards two of Maharashtra’s most stunning hidden waterfalls.
Kumbhe Waterfall: A short trek of around 1.5 km (one way) takes you to this peaceful cascade, perfect for relaxing, photography, and soaking in the raw beauty of nature.
After spending time here, continue towards your next destination with packed lunch or a quick stop for a local Konkan-style meal.
Nanemachi Waterfall: Next, head to the mesmerizing Nanemachi Waterfall, located deep in the forests near Mahad. Known for its turquoise blue water and natural rock amphitheater, this offbeat waterfall offers a surreal experience. The trail to Nanemachi includes forest walks and water crossings, making it ideal for adventure lovers.
After enjoying the refreshing waterfall and clicking unforgettable photos, return to the homestay for the night stay.

Satsada Falls & Shevate Waterfall (Day 3)

Begin your day with a drive to Satsada Falls, located near Mahad. Tucked deep within the forest, this multi-tiered waterfall offers a refreshing escape from the usual tourist trails. The trail to the falls includes a short walk through dense vegetation and uneven rocks, leading to a peaceful cascade perfect for photography and quiet reflection.
Spend time relaxing by the flowing water and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings before continuing to your next stop.
Later, proceed to Shevate Waterfall, a truly hidden gem located in a remote village near Poladpur. This waterfall is known for its unique rock formations, clean plunge pool, and offbeat charm. The trail involves a forested path with mild inclines and requires crossing a few streams.

After your final waterfall experience, begin your return journey.


Clothing & Footwear

  • Walking/Sports/Trekking shoe. (Please make sure that you are using soft rubber-sole footwear)
  • 30-40 L backpack (Do not carry suitcases or trolleys)
  • Sleeping bag (You can replace it with a thin blanket or bed-sheet if you don't want to invest in a sleeping bag)
  • 3 pairs of quick-dry clothing. (Please wear one pair on Friday night before coming to the railway station. You'll not get an opportunity to change during our travel.)
  • 3 pairs of socks
  • Raincoat, rain cover for your bag, zip-lock pouches for mobiles

Food & Beverage

  • Min 2 liters of water each (Please bring reusable water bottles so that together we can discourage the use of plastic on the trails)
  • Snacks (Carry plenty of dry snacks, energy bars, candies & ORS to munch on during the trek)
