Umiam Lake: This man-made lake near Shillong is framed by verdant hills and provides a serene setting for picnics, boating, and water sports. The lake's reflective waters are especially captivating at sunrise and sunset, creating a perfect backdrop for memorable moments.

Mawkdok Valley: Known for its exhilarating zip-line, the longest in East India, offering panoramic views of the valley below. Safety is a top priority with certified instructors guiding you through this adrenaline-pumping experience.

Krang Shuri Waterfall: A scenic waterfall with azure blue waters that invites you for a swim after a short hike through a beautiful forest. Mandatory life jackets ensure safety, making it an accessible adventure for everyone.

Double-Decker Root Bridge: An awe-inspiring natural bridge, estimated to be over 200 years old, made by weaving the roots of trees. The trek to this landmark from Tyrna village takes about an hour, crossing scenic suspension bridges along the way.

Rainbow Waterfall: Accessible after a 4.5 km trek from the Double-Decker Root Bridge, this lesser-known waterfall features turquoise waters that beckon swimmers and nature lovers alike.

Mawsmai Cave: Explore the captivating stalactite and stalagmite formations in this limestone cave in Cherrapunjee. Narrow pathways and unique rock formations make it a fascinating underground adventure.

DAY-1: Arrival in Guwahati,Umiam Lake View Point - Mawkdok Valley


Places: Umiam Lake & Mawkdok Valley.
Umiam Lake: located near Shillong in Meghalaya, is a large and peaceful man-made lake surrounded by green hills. It’s a popular spot for picnics, water sports, and boating, with crystal-clear waters that reflect the scenic landscape. The lake is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset.
Mawkdok Valley: Here, get ready for an adrenaline rush! East India's longest Zip-Line it is! The total length of the zip-line is 2600 ft & the maximum depth is 1200 ft. It makes for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The instructors are trained technically and certified; they give pre-instructions to get your posture right & boost your confidence.
STAY: Shillong.

DAY-2: 
Places: Shillong- Krang Shuri Waterfall - Dawki River 
Krang Shuri: As we reach the Krang Shuri waterfall we'll have a quick breakfast and start the hike to the waterfall immediately. It's a hike of around 10-15 minutes that goes through the forest. Just a matter of 2-3 minutes more till you collect the life jackets & wear them (Yeah, they are mandatory!) and the waterfall is all yours to explore! We spend plenty of time here playing in the azure blue water!
Dawki River: Post Cliff Jump in KrangShuri we will be heading to the boating point in Dawki river. It takes almost an hour to reach there. As you walk down towards the boats, you will see a board saying "Do Not Cross The Border - India" towards your left. Don't be tempted to cross it because the Indian check post is hardly at a few meters distance behind you & a BSF personnel will be somewhere around you keeping a watch. ;)

We'll wear life jackets & start the boat ride. In the same boat ride, the boatman will be taking us to the cliff jumping point and then at the end to a small island. The height of the cliff is around 25 ft. And jumping off that is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Non-swimmers need not worry even a bit; we are wearing life jackets & the support of local boatmen makes it quite easy for us to jump. If you're a swimmer, don't forget to carry your swimming goggles!

DAY-3: 
Places: Cherrapunjee local sightseeing-Mawsmai CaveSeven Sisters Waterfall-Wei Sawdong Falls-Garden Of Caves.

  1. Mawsmai Cave: Start your day by visiting Mawsmai Cave, a limestone cave filled with fascinating rock formations. It’s a short yet exciting exploration that offers a glimpse of natural stalactites and stalagmites.
  2. Seven Sisters Waterfall: Next, head to Seven Sisters Waterfall, also known as Nohsngithiang Falls. This multi-tiered waterfall is best enjoyed during or after the monsoon when the water flows in seven segments down the cliff, creating a spectacular view.
  3. Wei Sawdong Falls: visit Wei Sawdong Falls, known for its unique three-tiered structure and crystal-clear water. It’s a bit of a trek to reach but is a beautiful spot for photography and enjoying nature’s beauty.
  4. Garden of Caves: End your sightseeing at the Garden of Caves, a serene location featuring natural caves, small waterfalls, and scenic trails. It’s a peaceful place that combines beauty and a touch of mystery.

After exploring these sites, return to your stay in Cherrapunji to relax and enjoy the evening after a fulfilling day surrounded by nature.

DAY-4:
Places: Tyrna - Double-decker root bridge Trek- Rainbow waterfall- Guwahati
Double-decker root bridge Trek: The double-decker root bridge is a wonderful sight to behold! It is said to be around 200 years old. From Tyrna, it takes around 1 hrs & 15 minutes to reach here. On the way, we cross suspension bridges. We will have breakfast here. Post that, we head to Rainbow waterfall.
Rainbow waterfall: After 4.5 km from Double-decker root bridge  we will reach the Rainbow waterfall, the sound of which falls onto your ears from around 100 meters behind. And the adventurous kid in you won't stop but run towards it! That sight is what is wholly rewarding. And swimming into those azure blue waters is just beyond words!
We shall spend a plentiful time here.

We come back the same way. On the way back we will have lunch. While climbing back those steps from the Double-decker bridge till Tyrna you will certainly be pushing yourself! And that's what pushes you to learn about yourself too!
STAY: Guwahati.

DAY-5: 
Places:  Guwahati-Majuli
Arrive in Jorhat and take a ferry ride to Majuli, which takes about 30-45 minutes. Experience the beauty of the Brahmaputra River during the crossing.
Kamallabari Satra: an important Vaishnavite monastery known for its rich culture and traditions.
Auniati Satra: where you can learn about the local art and crafts, including mask-making, and interact with the monks.
Enjoy the stunning sunset views over the Brahmaputra River from the riverbank, a perfect way to end the day.

DAY-6: 
Places: Majuli- Kaziranga National Park - Sunset Jeep safari
Majuli Museum: Visit the Majuli Museum to learn about the island's history, culture, and traditions.
Departure to Kaziranga: Start heading back to Jorhat to catch the ferry back to the mainland.Arrive in Jorhat, and continue your journey to Kaziranga National Park, filled with wonderful memories from your visit to Majuli.

Explore the Park: Visit the local area near Kaziranga, visiting the biodiversity-rich zones around the park's boundaries. If time permits, stop by Kaziranga Orchid Park or a nearby Assamese tea estate to learn about local culture and agriculture.

Sunset Jeep Safari: Sunset jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park. Traverse the park's Western or Central Range, spotting exotic wildlife like the one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, and, if lucky, tigers. Enjoy the breathtaking sunset views over the park’s grasslands, forests, and rivers as you conclude the safari.

DAY-7: 
Places: Elephant Safari & Orchid and Biodiversity Park
Elephant Safari in Kaziranga National Park: An Elephant Safari in Kaziranga is an exciting experience that lets you see wildlife up close. Riding through the park’s grassy plains on an elephant, you can spot Kaziranga’s famous one-horned rhinoceroses, deer, wild buffalo, and maybe even tigers. It’s a peaceful, unique way to explore the park and admire its beautiful landscape.

Orchid and Biodiversity Park: Kaziranga's Orchid and Biodiversity Park showcases the region’s rich plant life. This park has over 500 types of orchids, traditional medicinal plants, and vibrant flowers. Visitors can explore colorful gardens, learn about Assam’s native flora, and enjoy cultural performances that celebrate local traditions.
