Popular for its sea shores, Goa is the smallest state in India as far as region, yet a gigantic supporter of the economy through travel industry. Panaji is the capital of Goa. Goa Tourism is viewed as the significant help to Goa's economy. First we'll be heading to Fontainhas. Fontainhas is known for narrow lanes full of colorful Portuguese villas with balconies and red-tiled roofs. It is a treat for photographers and anyone who is keen on getting clicked too. Fontainhas has very cute and instagrammable cafes to relish Italian delicacies. There are many street art locations too.
At a very walkable distance we have our next sight of visit which is Immaculate Conception Cathedral. This is a colonial Portuguese Baroque style church which was first built in 1541 as a chapel on a hillside overlooking the city of Panjim. It is one among the most famous and most visited churches in Goa. We will have our lunch in between.
By evening we will reach Baga/Calangute beach for sunset. Post sunset you are free to explore the night life of North Goa. You've got many options for night parties at the famous Tito's lane, street shopping, beach side shacks for dinner and just what not. Once calling it a night we'll head back to the stay and retire.
We will start our day early and head to Baga beach. We will be doing water sports like parasailing, jet ski, banana ride etc. It will take around a couple of hours to complete the water sports. We will have breakfast on the beach, head back to the stay, freshen up and check out from the stay.
We will then head to Sinquerim beach and visit Sinquerim fort, and then head towards Aguada fort. Very close to Aguada fort we have this place called Kaurati’s cave and Devil’s finger which is the instagram viral beach cave. This is tentative depending upon the water current and weather on that particular day. We will have lunch in the nearby shacks.
Post lunch we will head to Chapora fort which is famously also called as Dil Chahta Hai fort. To reach Chapora fort from the parking area it is just a 10 minutes ascend. We will witness the sunset from Chapora Fort if the skies are clear. Chapora fort offers an amazing view of the Arabian Sea. After sunset we will head towards Anjuna beach for the night stay. Anjuna beach too has a lot to offer for nightlife places. Our personal favorite is purple martini. You can also visit purple martini during sunset too since it is located at a sunset viewpoint and has an amazing view.
We will then head back to our stay after dinner and retire for the day. Just in case you happen to be at Anjuna on a wednesday, there will be a flea market and has some good collection of stuff to buy and take souvenirs back home.
Note: If you are not interested in watersports, you can explore forts and Dolphin spotting.
We will have an early wakeup call today since we will have a long day to go. We will then head towards Dudhsagar waterfalls trek base village. Dudhsagar Falls is a gorgeous flowy waterfall where you can hear the roar of the water, gushing through the slope of the mountains. This fall is one of the tallest waterfalls in India which is 310 Meters long. This huge gush gives the viewers the illusion of a subtle milky white color water falling from a great height and hence the name. The local guide will meet us and will inform you about the trek plans of that day.
The trek to Dudhsagar is 3-4 km long, which would take approximately 4 hrs. On the way to the falls, we will have a stop for lunch, which will be provided by Goadventure. The lunch will include the authentic flavors prepared by the locals. Post lunch we will continue our trek to the Falls.
Follow the railway track all the way to the waterfalls. While passing through the dense forest, you will witness many heavenly smaller waterfalls within Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. This sanctuary is the natural habitat of herbivorous animals like deer, sambar, elephants etc.(On the route you can find the temple of Bhagwan Mahavir). You will reach the falls before dawn. The view from the bridge would be eye-catching. You can see the upper stream of the flowing waterfalls on your left and the lower stream on your right. Spend some valuable time there, click some beautiful pictures and most importantly you will enjoy the sound of the waterfalls. Then we will walk to the nearest railway station, which is around 1-2 km far from the falls. We will get into the train and get down at Kulem Railway Station.
In the evening, we will go to the campsite which is exclusively for GoAdventure. The campsite has a swimming pool, DJ, Camp fire etc. which you would love. Dinner will be provided by GoAdventure, prepared by the locals. Retire for the day.
We will have our breakfast at the campsite itself and then pack up and start towards South Goa. First we will head to Palolem beach. At Palolem beach we will take a boat ride to Butterfly beach and go dolphin spotting. After a 15 minute boat ride into the sea we are sure to spot dolphins there. You can record them. The boat will then take us to Butterfly beach. This simple, scenic beach features a narrow stretch of sand & sunset views. There is no roadway to butterfly beach but there’s a trek route too if not a boat ride.
Butterfly beach is also called Honeymoon beach since a lot of honeymooners and couples visit here. We will spend some time here and click pictures.
We will head back to Palolem beach in the boat and then get into our hired vehicle and then head to Agonda beach. Agonda beach is a 3km beach stretch. Agonda beach is also called a turtle beach and if you’re lucky enough you can spot the newborns. We will then head back to the stay, pack up and checkout and start our return journey.
