Himachal backpacking trip with Manali and Kasol


With splendid mountains and plunging river valleys, Himachal Pradesh is a pristine North Indian destination that would be in the bucket list of travelers of all kinds. Embellished with religious sites, shimmering lakes, sprawling apple farms, ancient monasteries, and historical heritage sites, while offering numerous adventure activities, Himachal Pradesh boasts a myriad of tourist places which make one fall in love with it. 


Day 0: Delhi to Manali
Day 1: Manali Local Sightseeing
Day 2: Manali to Jispa Via Solang Valley
Day 3: Jispa to Barlachala Pass and Back to Manali
Day 4: Visit Jogini Waterfalls and Board Bus to Delhi
Day 5: Reach Delhi

Day 0: Delhi to Manali

  • Reach Delhi
  • Report at Majnu Ka Tila in Delhi by 5 PM for overnight journey to Manali.

Day 1: Manali Local Sightseeing

  • Reach Manali in the morning.
  • After Freshening up in the stay we will leave for Local sightseeing
  • We will provide Scooty to explore around Manali yourself.
  • Visit Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple & Do some Shopping at Mall Road for souvenirs, handicrafts, jackets, shawls, and jewelry.
  • Stay: Manali (Hotel - 3 Sharing)

Day 2: Manali - Solang Valley - Atal Tunnel - Sissu Waterfalls - Jispa

  • After having a delicious breakfast head towards Lahaul.
  • Our first stop will be the beautiful Solang Valley.
    Highlights: ATV Ride, Rope Way, Zorbing, etc.
  • We will enter Lahaul leaving Kullu behind using the Atal Tunnel which is 9kms
    long and considered the world's engineering marvel.
  • Atal Tunnel brings you to a different range of the Himalayas — the mighty Dhauladhar
  • Visit Sissu waterfalls en route which can be seen from the road as well.
    A small hike takes you to these 50 meters high waterfalls which are considered by travelers as one of the best falls in the Himalayan region.
  • Reach Jispa and rest for the day.
  • Stay: Jispa (Hotel - 3 Sharing)

Day 3: Jispa - Darcha - Barlachala Pass - Manali

  • Visit Confluence of Chandra and Bhaga rivers and the creation of Chenab River.
  • Visit Suraj Taal and Deepak Taal, two breathtaking high-altitude lakes in the Lahaul and Spiti region.
  • Visit Baralacha La at 16,040 ft (One of the 5 high-passes to be covered in the road trip)
  • After Reaching Baralacha La we will start our return journey to Manali.
  • Stay: Manali (Hotel - 3 Sharing)

Day 4: Jogini Waterfalls Trek - Hot spring - Kasol

  • Visit Jogini Waterfalls. One can enjoy an energizing dip under these cascading falls while admiring the towering mountains all around.
  • After the trek Relax in Hot springs of Vashisht.
  • Head to Tirthan valley
  • Stay: Kasol

Day 5: Kasol - Manikaran - Chahal trek

  • Kasol Local Sightseeing
  • Riverwalk (besides the Parvati River)
  • Manikaran Gurudwara Sahib.
  • Chalal trek in the evening.
  • Local Markets
  • Explore the famous Israeli’s Cafe’s like Little Italy, Jim Morrisson Cafe.
  • Stay in Kasol
     

Day 6: Jibhi valley - Jalori pass - Serolsar lake - Bhuntar

  • Jibhi valley sightseeing
  • Visit Jalori pass
  • Hike to Serolsar lake
  • Evening, take bus from Bhuntar / Aut

  • Head torch (You can rent from GoAdventure. 60/- for all 6 days. For hiring the same, intimate us 5 days prior to the event)
  • Dry snacks, ORS, dry fruits, chocolates, Nutri bars, etc.
     
  • Use your garbage bag or properly dispose of used wet tissues and napkins. Do not litter wet tissues and sanitary napkins in the mountains as well as other public areas.
  • Tip: While packing, use plastic bags to compartmentalize things and carry a few extra plastic bags for wet clothes.
  • Note 1: We need not carry backpacks with us. You can always keep them inside the hotel or vehicle.

  • Delhi to Shimla and Bhuntar to Delhi Transportation.
  • Accommodation as per the itinerary on triple sharing rooms.
  • Transport from Shimla to by tempo traveler.
  • 05 Night stays in your preferred guest house/homestay/camp.
  • Meals: 05 breakfasts & 05 dinners.
  • Sightseeing tours as per the itinerary (Vehicle will be on Non-Disposal basis).
  • All toll taxes, parking fees, and driver’s allowance.
  • Experienced outdoor professionals.

  • Anything which is not mentioned above.
  • Any kind of personal expenses, optional tours, insurance, laundry.
  • Costs incidental to any changes in the itinerary due to bad weather or natural calamities which is beyond our control.
  • Extra meals including breakfast on the arriving day & dinner on the last day.
